On a space station, the Doctor, Rory, Amy, and Kevin the robot T-Rex comes across a cult who worships a “space squid”. The squid, however controls and consumes human brains and when Rory and Amy are under its power, the Doctor and Kevin must stop him.
What they got right: One-shot story that features: really good art; a Han Solo cameo (sort of); a riot guard robot called Big Dawg (that gets taken down in the span of three panels, but still…); cultists who worship the “Holy Space Squid”; the Doctor riding a robot dinosaur right through said cultists; said dinosaur beating up said squid…are you getting this?
What they got wrong: If you expected something here, you’re not getting it. OK, OK, they still have Rory using Amy’s last name instead of the other way around. Do I appear unbiased now?
Recommendation: Get it! The comic, I mean. I think Lee’s outdone himself on this one.
AND all the station personnel are named after the actors from Castle. So this was written especially for me.
Thought the art was uneven, but overall, I’ve loved Lee’s 11th Doctor series very much, just I liked his mini-series that featured all the Doctors. (I was very annoyed with his interminable continuity games in his 10th Doctor series though.)

The character models weren’t perfect, but there are some good poses, like when Kevin was scaring off the cultists, and I gave Adams bonus points for that.
